My day starts at 5 am. It’s a carefully choreographed dance of getting myself and my kids ready, all before heading to my job as an assistant portfolio manager. But my roles don’t end there – I’m also a part-time admin for a company that hosts cannabis and psychedelic conventions, an entrepreneur in rug tufting, and an affiliate for a CBD company. And, most importantly, I’m a mother, striving to balance it all.
📚 The Courage to Learn: My Educational Journey at 30
At 30 something, I decided to go back to college for my associate’s degree. This step was a leap of faith, adding to my already packed schedule, but it represents my commitment to never stop growing, both personally and professionally.
🌱 Facing Challenges Head-On
Life has thrown its fair share of challenges at me. With minimal family support and no assistance from my children’s father, I’ve had to rely on my inner strength and faith. I face stress and anxiety regularly, but I find relief in cannabis, the joy of cooking for my family, and the therapeutic nature of rug tufting.

To other working moms, I’d say: “It gets easier.” Our kids will grow and become more independent. It’s important to make the time spent with them now fun and memorable, as they need a break just as much as we do.

In the future, I see myself expanding my rug tufting business to create a significant self-employed income. I dream of traveling, both on my own for some much-needed solitude and with my kids, exploring the world together. My journey is a constant balancing act, but it’s mine, and it’s filled with growth, love, and determination.
